Wild Magic Research
Rosney seeks to understand the nature of the Sahwat's Wild Magic, the learn how to protect from its effects, and the part she can play in healing the region in concert with the power of the Oasis.
Research
Research is conducted in a series of study sessions. Each session takes four hours of uninterrupted concentration, and concludes with a Wisdom (Religion) check. The starting DC for these checks is 20. Beginning almost from nothing, the amount of research Rosney must conduct is significant, and gaining true understanding will take time.
Milestones and Breakthroughs
Every 5 successful study sessions is a Milestone. Upon reaching a milestone, Rosney will gain insight into the true nature of Wild Magic, which will yield a mechanical advantage when Wild Magic explosions occur. Every 10 successfully study sessions is a Breakthrough. In addition to the Milestone reward, Rosney's diligence and careful research will lower the difficulty of all future study sessions.

Study Aids
Study Buddy. Rosney must roll her Wisdom (Religion) check in each study session. Kjrn can assist Rosney in her studies by spending the same uninterrupted four hours and either making an Intelligence (Nature) check using the same study session DC, or granting Rosney advantage on her ability check. If Krjn chooses to make the Nature check and both Kjrn and Rosney succeed their checks, Rosney records two successes towards the next milestone.
Divine Inspiration. Rosney may choose to spend one Channel Divinity slot to grant herself advantage on her check.
Other Assistance. Other PCs may grant Rosney and Kjrn mechanical assistance on their ability checks through the use of spells, abilities, and so on. They may not use the Help action to grant advantage, as only Rosney and Kjrn are qualified to do this research.
Research Materials. The Dewa Q'Asos is vast, and buried beneath the sands are the remnants of a long-dead thaumacratic empire; who can say where the intrepid scholar may find materials that add in her studies?
