The Shore at the End of the World
The Shore at the End of the World is hundreds of miles of rock and sand stretching almost the entire width of the continent of Vosh. It is bounded to the North by great sloping cliffs that reach a thousand feet or more up to the plateau that forms Bone City and the Undersands and into the foothills and low mountains of Hoard's Vault on the Eastern edge. From the base of the cliff the Shore stretches dozens of miles south to the edge of the Golden Sea, also known as the Sea of Sand and Stars: the vast expanse of liquified sand kept roiling and rolling in great waves by perpetual explosions of arcane energies.
In decades past, any hopper foolhardy enough to travel this far south could, if they were very lucky, find port communities who scraping out a meagre subsistence at the Sea's edge, living off schools of amphibious scorpion fish and panning for precious minerals thrown up by the sands. Occasional trade with the sea-faring Elves of Bastion who managed to sail all the way to the Shore was not unheard of, but it's been a century or more since there was a regular trade route.
No matter where you stand, the view south is dominated by a great column black energy devouring light and staining the sky; the Heart Storm, the eternal ecological disaster at the center of the Sea.
